LAUNCH OF WATER RESISTANT BLUETOOTH
STEREO HEADSET DELIGHTS MUSIC FANS
Since iPhone 3GS
started to support A2DP (Bluetooth stereo
profile) earlier this year, we have seen several
Bluetooth stereo headsets coming to market from
key industry players, including Nokia and Sony
Ericsson. However, consumer feedback has not
been entirely favourable, with indications that
these models are too large, unattractive, too
short music time and in some cases, have
cumbersome wires which interfere with the user’s
comfort.
To fill the gap in this market, Bluetooth
manufacturer Avantronics, is launching the
“Avantalk Jogger” this month, in the UK and US.
As immediately suggested by its title, the model
is being targeted at active or sporting
individuals, being ideal for walking, hiking or
even when working out in the gym.
Offering superb stereo quality, the Jogger
weighs only 23g so is barely noticeable to the
wearer. It has been designed specifically to
mould itself to the individual user’s face and
ear, even during strenuous activity –
particularly useful when working out in the gym.
Avantalk, a well-recognized brand in many
countries, symbolises quality, excellent design
and value for money. In the UK in particular,
its Bluetooth car kit is selling well through
outlets including Carphone Warehouse, Tesco and
Orange. Its high level of online support has
been applauded by UK consumers, who make good
use of the video user guide, product tutorial
and live support and sales and marketing
director, Phoebe Yi, is confident that this
latest offering will go down a storm with
fitness fans and trendy music lovers.
She says: “Whenever we see people holding a
trendy mobile with a long cumbersome wire, we
feel there is something wrong. We are glad that
we are the first company feel this gap with a
practical item at price, quality and design.”
Small in comparison to other stereo headsets,
Avantronics has designed the Jogger to be
discreet and easily disguised when wearing. It
is water resistant, so will not be damaged by
sweat, light rain or fog and has an impressive
eight hours music / talk time which means it
lives a few times longer than your phone.
With auto switching between music and calls and
easily paired with a device with no pass code
required, the Jogger makes an ideal gadget for
both commuters and fitness fanatics alike.
This innovative new product will be available
from Amazon and other UK retailers from February
2010, at a retail price of £59.99.
